More Creativity

I finished the bathing suits this week. The patterns I used were from this company. I was worried that it would look really strange and I'd be embarrassed to wear it in public; but it's not too bad. The one problem I did have was fabric. I readily admit that I have very little fashion sense. I can construct a garment quite well, but I could use help picking out the fabric and pattern. ;) This time was no different. I had to order our swimsuit fabric from www.fabric.com, and they didn't have very many choices. We picked the best we could from the small selection available. Overall we're pretty happy with the outcome, and I don't think we'll look too strange wearing these at the Dead Sea.

This afternoon, my husband took us all for a walk. He had seen this place on one of his runs, and thought I might enjoy the view. He was right! From almost anywhere at this park, you get an amazing panoramic view of Jerusalem. This is one of the shots I snapped.

With my camera, it would be impossible to capture the entire view in one picture. But from this location you can see the Old City, the Mount of Olives, and many other places in the city; all in one view. There were also a lot of well maintained grassy areas, so we let the kids run around for a while and work off some energy. The whole walk was a little over 3 miles, so we all had some good exercise. My son got put into bed tonight and fell right to sleep ---- which NEVER happens!

My husband felt like being creative tonight and told me that HE would be making dinner! What a nice treat!! Poor guy though-- he went to find some recipes for what he had in mind, but we didn't have hardly any of the ingredients. He ended up making a chicken with mushroom sauce over rice with spinach and a salad. It was all very good -- AND he did the dishes!! How blessed I am to have such a thoughtful husband!

If you want to take a panorama picture with your camera, you can always take a few shots and then stitch them together on the computer using a panorama software. You don't even need to use a tripod, the software will auto align the pictures itself.

BTW the dresses are really beautiful...

Din, I have no doubt that you could "stitch" together my photos and make it look very professional! You have an amazing talent for such things. I, on the other hand, have NO talent when it comes to that sort of thing. My husband could probably figure it out though...I'll tell him about it and let him try. Thanks for the tip!

Sis. Pam,
I can't remember how I ran across your blog, but I just wanted to let you know that I find it quite interesting!! I have a special place in my heart for the Jewish people and reading a blog of someone living in Israel is exciting to me!!
