That's Just How It Goes
The week started well with no worries or woes,
With joy in my heart and a countenance that glows.
My dearest displaying his love with a rose;
He's learning the things that I like, I suppose.
As time passes on, the sign of stress shows,
As school gets behind and my sewing pile grows,
As I wonder about the things my kids chose,
Like an Army man's head up my little one's nose!
The tension now climbing as my family knows,
My mood started swinging from highs into lows.
But knowing a man must reap what he sows,
I cleaned up my heart and my soul did repose.
Thanking my Lord for the mercy he shows.
Some days, for a sinner, that's just how it goes.

Poor little army man! Some weeks it is rough and I think the adversary sees or highs and then puts obstacles in our way hoping we fall over. What a wonderful job you have in being a wife and a mother! God has blessed you richly and your life is a wonderful testimony! Keep on keepin' on :-)! Did I ever tell you about the time I was pregnant, Wade was gone but coming home THAT night, I was taking a bath to relax a bit and one of my children (which shall remain nameless...although for a fee??) stuck a pony bead up her nose that wouldn't come out? Had to spend hours and hours in the ER, another good hour in a room waiting for the doctor, he had just left to get the instruments he needed and the child sneezed, pony bead flew out, and home we went *sigh*
Love ya

I cannot believe these stories...I had TWO boys..maybe they hid outside and did these crazy things...I know they have swallowed pennies.. ;)
Boys will be boys...I know a couple of little girls that are inclined to this sort of thing!
Too funny..and great poem!
Hi, I found your blog through Deby's. I loved this post...it sounded so much like my home! especially the soldier...we have several that look very much like the one in your picture. Nice to 'meet' you!
