The Apron for Hope

I mentioned a few posts back that I had made a gift for Hope, but I couldn't show you at the time because I didn't want to spoil the surprise for her. Well, she received it yesterday, so I can show you now. The pictures I took aren't the greatest, but you'll get the idea.

This is the apron....
I thought I'd practice my appliqué on the apron bib.. (do you see the little ladybug button climbing up a stem?)
Another ladybug caught a ride on one of the pockets....
And some more flowers were coming up from the hem....
I had fun making it for her!

On a slightly funny side note....
I was listening to the Bible on CD and I was given the idea of a small joke to tease my family with. You know what homophones are, I'm sure (two words that sound the same but have different meanings and/or spellings). Well, listening to the Bible and not seeing the words led to this idea. Did you know that the Bible speaks of 'bacon' in the frying pan? My family's ears immediately perked up at this since we live in the land where pork is an 'abomination'. Go read Lev. 2:7 and see for yourself. :o) [and yes, I realize this is a very corny joke!]

Okay, I think I have a new life verse now! I just had my husband look it up...not telling him what it said, and while he was looking for it, he asked, "What? Does it say, 'And she shall eat chocolate all the days of her life'?" Thanks for being such a ham ;)

The apron is beautiful! You did a wonderful job!

Bacon-lol! One day my friend was over with her kids and I asked Tyler if he was sharing. She looked confused and said "Who's Sharon?".
