Some workers came to our house to install a water cooler so I ran down the stairs to let them in the door. The door was left open so that the equipment could be brought into the house and I headed back upstairs. I guess the wind must have been blowing pretty hard outside because a gust of air came through the door and right up my stairway. All of a sudden I'm surrounded by flying dust bunnies coming at me from every direction, swirling around and getting caught in my hair. (It's alright, you can laugh) It's not like I don't ever sweep my stairs, but I guess 8 flights of marble stairs collect dust quicker than I thought. Yes, Heather, I can hear you saying, "I told you so." I'm just so glad that the workers were still outside and didn't see this air show. Or see me running around catching dust bunnies in flight. As I was searching the web for a cute photo to put on the this post I found this sign and I just couldn't resist. Maybe I should get one for the front door.

Flying Dust Bunnies
You know how sometimes you get those subtle reminders that you missed cleaning somewhere? Like, when the repairmen come to look at the refrigerator and you realize it's the first time you've seen under there in, oh I don't know, a year or more! That's when you say things like, "That's where that bottle cap went!" and "Where did all that dirt come from?" Or when you move a lamp and there's a lamp-shaped void in the dust. Then there are those not-so-subtle reminders that it's time to clean, like I had today.
