Is Something Different?

I hope you've noticed the face-lift that my blog has received. I was getting tired of the generic template and finally decided to fix it up a little bit. The picture at the top of the page is a cross-stitch that I did a few years ago called "Midsummer Roses", designed by Paula Vaughan. The new picture in my profile is another project from a couple of years ago. It's called "Storytime", and the original design is also by Paula Vaughan. I say "original design" because I changed a couple of things on this to better suit my family. I changed the mother's hair color to be more like my own, and I changed the book they are reading from "Little Women", to "Holy Bible". Much more appropriate for us.

I also added a couple of links to other blogs. Don't be offended if your name does not appear here; I am very selective. I have linked to these blogs because I believe they will be edifying to anyone who reads them. And because I know these ladies personally, and I know that what they say will be in line with the Bible.
Heather's blog, called "Just Laugh" many of you read already. She is one of the best friends that God has ever given to me. She is my "iron" (Prov 27:17), and I know she will be a blessing to you as well. Right now she is out of commission with a crashed computer, but she will be back soon!
HOPE is a pseudonym for the amazing lady at "Watering Wells of Hope". She is my Titus 2 mentor; teaching, guiding, and imparting her wisdom to me. She is the closest thing I have to a mother, and I love her dearly. She is new to the blogosphere and only has a couple of posts under her belt, but I know that she will bring many blessings to her readers. If you would, please take the time to visit her and leave her a comment of welcome.

This part has nothing to do with the new look of my blog, but I didn't want to write a whole different post, so I'll just add it here.
Sunday, after church, we got ready to drive off to do our grocery shopping, and our clutch cable broke! Praise God! It may sound like a funny thing to praise God for, but just as Ephesians 5:20 states we are "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" You see, the clutch broke while we were safely parked, and not while we were driving. We were parked right beside the place where all of the cars are repaired for where my husband works. We have a personal driver that came right away with one phone call to pick us up. This driver also took us to the grocery store and back home again and is now shuttling my husband to work and back. God has supplied us with the necessary funds to get our car repaired without putting a strain on our budget. Can YOU find anything to complain about? After all, we do have the promise that, "...my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Pam, I love your new design. It is so pretty. I wonder sometimes how many times things just almost happen to us and God has taken care of us and we don't even realize it. I would be praising God just like you knowing what could have happened until God stepped in and stopped it. May God bless you all. connie fromTexas

I love your new design, too, and the cross-stitches are beautiful.
Yes, praise the Lord that He provided as He did. He is so Good!
Thank you for sharing the links. I know Heather via blog and look forward to checking in with her, again, and I look forward to checking out HOPE. ;o)

To answer your question, yes, I still cut out the old way with scissors and pins. What is it that you do? You have me curious. ;o)
