Well, the VIP that was mentioned in my last post has made his leave of this country, so our lives will be getting back to normal just in time for the weekend. It's hard to write an interesting post when there are so many things that you can't say. But, everything went as planned, and I'm thankful that there were no incidents, although some were narrowly avoided.
I got the commentaries from my brother earlier this week, and I've gotten through the first couple of chapters of I Timothy. Like I knew it would be, it has been a blessing to me, and I have gained a deeper understanding of the verses. I will also be proofreading I Corinthians, Hebrews, and Revelation......I'm excited about each of those!
This week has been one that seems to have lasted forever, yet it's hard to recall what has been accomplished. (Which usually means that nothing has!) I attempted to sew myself a knit dress.....notice I said "attempted". It's now sitting in my pile of failed garments. All part of the learning experience, right? You make some mistakes, but you gain some knowledge from those mistakes and hopefully improve. I am excited to go exploring for some more fabric stores in my area. Din was so kind as to do an online search of fabric stores for me. I would do this myself, except my knowledge of Hebrew is still very limited, at best. Anyway, he sent me a looong list of stores, that are all in the same general area, close to where my husband works. He even translated all of the Hebrew for me into English! Thanks, Din! I'm thinking that we might attempt to find them on a Saturday. They will be closed, but that also means that there will be no traffic and they will be easier to find! I thought that I had found a small store in the mall where I could buy notions, but I was wrong. I tried to buy a new zipper for my daughter's coat, but they wanted 30 shekels for it! That's over $7.....just for the zipper, not the installation. I went online and paid $1 for the same thing. It will be very nice to find some place here where I can buy what I need.
Those of you who know me personally know that I have spent many years on many different types of diets and healthy lifestyles. (A lot of them successful, I might add) I was considering starting a new blog with some tips that I've learned, and recipes that I try. There are so many of these types of blogs out there, I didn't know if there was interest for one more. If you would be interested in reading this type of blog, would you let me know? Either by comment or e-mail would be fine. I don't want to waste my time on a blog that no one wants to read!
I hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Wow, interest already! I'll start thinking up a good name ;o)
I'd definitely be interested! I have type 2 diabetes, so I'm always reading something or other about healthy eating. Actually doing it is another story! ;)
I'm headed right over! :)
