How Cool Is This??

You'll never guess where my husband was tonight (May 15th). He was at a private, by invitation only, reception thrown by the Pres1dent of the Un1ted St@tes at the Israeli Museum to celebrate Israel's 60th year as a state. He was picked up by bus and driven to the location where, as you can imagine, everything was fit for... well... the Pres1dent! They had to wait a couple of hours for him to get there, but when he did finally arrive he said the media seemed to appear out of nowhere and started swarming Mr. Bu$h with lights and cameras. He gave a short speech and then started to go down through the small crowd of about 400 to shake some hands. My husband and the men he was with decided that they were going to get a hand shake at all costs. They noticed the Pres1dent's path and headed towards it. They got to the spot in time and one of the guys he was with reached his hand out and got hold of the Pres1dent's hand. While still holding his hand he said, "Mr. Pres1dent, I want you to meet these men here." (speaking of my husband and his friend) The Pres1dent eagerly agreed to shake the hands of these men that he honors. While they had him there in their 'grasps' they also asked if they could get a picture. Mr. Bu$h was only too happy to comply. As they got into 'pose' another opportunity seeker butt-in so he could get his picture as well. The Pres1dent graciously entertained this man and they took a quick shot. Then the Pres1dent quickly reverted his attention back where he wanted it; with my husband and the two other men. He put his arms around them like they were old buddies and the photographer snapped a shot that I'm sure we'll be proud of. Priceless.

Matte and frame, for sure!

My cousins have a picture of themselves with him hanging in their house. They were playing strings for a Republican fundraiser here when he was just the Governor of Texas. But we like to pretend. lol.
