Can you believe it?? It's been almost a year since we moved to Jerusalem! It was a big adjustment, but I can see so many blessings that we've received along the way. One of the hardest things to get used to, for me, was my new found isolation. I have truly come to enjoy it now, but at first it was only hard and depressing. Of course, the glory for this change all belongs to God! If it weren't for the Holy Spirit's comfort and guidance, I'm sure I'd be stuck back in that dark mood of self-pity and discontent.
One thing that has made a big difference for me...... is all of YOU! Even if I can't see my friends face to face, I can come here to bloggyland and see you all here. And I have made so many new friends along the way! I started this blog because Heather wanted to keep in touch with me and know what was going on day by day. That sounded like a good idea, and my other friends could 'visit' me as well. I had no idea that so many other people would read my blog.... and want to come back! It's truly a blessing to see so many people stop by my blog and even take the time to leave a comment. I know that I have several 'lurkers' that come here to read and leave seemingly undetected. But I know when you've come by, and I thank you too. Tammi from Hawaii..... I know you're a faithful reader, and even though you've only popped up to say hello a couple of times, I appreciate your presence! Many others I don't know who you are, but I'm humbled to see that you keep coming back.
I hope that the Lord has used this blog to be a blessing to you in some way. Thanks to all of you for your friendship..... you've helped make this year wonderful!

Hello Pam!
I understand those dark days you go though after moving to another country. It's beautiful, but at the same time, overwhelming. You enjoy all the new experiences, but at the same time, long for home. You have fun with new found friend, but miss terribly the ones you left behind. I'm in that state now. Pray for me. Thank you for your comment on my blog. If it's ok, I'd like to link to you. Let me know what you think.

Pam, I understood that you were not "missionaries", but only after a little investigating cause I did think that at first. But I'd still like to link to you. My category is "Blogging Moms" so it really doesn't have anything to do with being a missionary . Consider it done....:)
Pam,
After many years consecutively overseas I sure do know that isolation feeling..and we did not have this technology...it sure does help.
I too can feel isolated for my rough Fibromyalgia days, and weeks...and have come to depend on sweet blog friends for encouragement and prayers..
Your blog is a blessing.

Dear Pam, I stopped by to give you and your a special "Thank you." Here I find you are thanking everyone else. I have enjoyed each visit since meeting you and I am so glad that God allowed our lives to touch even in this way. May you have a great day. connie from Texas
Dear Pam, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate your openness. I have been to Israel several times and plan to come again in July. I would like to find out more about you and your family if possible. I realize the sensitivies and even the caution that this message will raise. I do understand. I will put your blog in my favorites and check it out from time to time. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I have never been to Jordan. I spent 8 months on Kibbutz Ma'agan. Hope to keep in touch. You needn't add me to your drawing. I have most of those things.=)
