Lag B'Omer

Honestly, I don't know much about this holiday at all. But, it's going on all around me, so I thought I'd post about it. I know the name of the holiday is Lag B'Omer, but for more information on what it means, you can go to this link. If you read the link, you will see that one of the things done during this holiday is bonfires. There is a vacant lot across from our house, and tonight we got to see about 4 different fires burning.... along with hearing all the partying and smelling all the burning wood. I tried to get a picture of it, but it's really hard to take a good picture in the dark, even with my camera's nighttime setting. It's a little blurry, but I think you can make out what's going on.


We've been advised about the abundance of smoke that this holiday produces. It causes a smoky haze in the city for a few days! We've been told to keep all windows closed and to not keep our air conditioner on overnight, since it might fill the house with smoke. I just hope the noise doesn't keep us up all night! :)
