Before I get started on the tour, I want to answer a question from Mumsybyrd. She asked how I liked the travel pillow that I talked about in this post. Well, I actually slept for several hours on the plane, so I guess that would make it a success! The pillow had its pros and cons, but it was still the best pillow I have ever tried on a plane. Mumsybyrd, I'm with you about wanting to make it yourself and save the money, and it could be done, but then it wouldn't have the feature of being able to deflate and store away easily, so you'll have to decide if that's important to you or not.
Okay, onto the tour of our new home!! There are a bunch of pictures here, not all of which are interesting I'm sure, so feel free to scroll through if you'd like.
This is the view when you enter our front door....
To the left is a large closet with rods and shelving-- perfect when you have lots of winter gear!Next is a small foyer that really isn't good for anything....
To the left is the kitchen, and the right is the living room and the stairs to the 2nd floor. The kitchen....
I would choose a different color if it were my own, but I've had worse! The counter tops are granite, which I'm really enjoying, and there are some neat features in there. The refrigerator/freezer is on the left, but blend in very nicely with the wood fronts. It is a European size though, and it's taking a little time to get used to not having very much space in there! There's another feature in the cabinets that I think is really handy. Penny explained to me what it was since I'd never seen it before. Do you see the cabinet directly about the sink? This is what's inside....
A dish drainer! Very handy, functional, and keeps the counter tops clutter-free and usuable. And when it's closed you'd never know it was there. Penny said she had this same feature when she lived in Russia. Have any of you gals that have lived in Europe ever had one of these? (Some of you may have noticed that there is a dishwasher in the kitchen, but I still prefer to wash them by hand.... strange, I know.)The kitchen also has a nice big pantry "room" [not in picture], a big window, and a table....
They supplied us with an extra large dining table with 10 chairs, but we had to give it back... there just wasn't room for it downstairs. I'm thinking that I will have them bring it back when my sewing machine arrives. I can put it in my sewing room and use it as a craft table! Here is our living room....
Of course, it's larger than just this, but not all of it will fit in one view. Also in the living room is this lovely feature....
We even had someone give us all of their firewood since they were moving, so we're ready for many cozy fires. My poor kids were so cooped-up in Jerusalem; I prayed for a yard at our next home. And of course the Lord supplies....
It's even fenced in which settles my over-protective side. One of our neighbors is even going to bring us a swing set soon! We live within walking distance of the grocery store, which has been very nice since we don't have a car. But if we did have one (or do get one in the future), we would love this feature of our home....
This is a double car garage with an automatic garage door. Of course the main space is empty, but for now it's very handy for keeping a freezer & shelves for all the firewood. Once we get all of our belongings I'm sure this area will get filled up quickly! One more lovely feature of the downstairs is something that is quite common in Estonian homes....
A sauna!! We have yet to step inside this room, and I'm not sure that we will. I have a condition called anhidrosis which causes little or no perspiration. While this can be nice, it definitely makes me a poor candidate for a room that is supposed to make you sweat! I'd probably just end up with heat stroke... in the dead of winter. My husband might try it out some day though. There are a couple of features of the sauna room that I do like....
There's a large shower, which would be nice if anyone wants to visit us {hint, hint}, and the landlord also left behind a small refrigerator in the dressing area of this room. That extra fridge space has really come in handy since our main one is so small. Next we go upstairs....

This second level holds three bedrooms and the master bathroom, which is the only full bath in the house. (There's a half bath in the foyer area) There's also a large closet at the end of the hall....

This is the master bedroom....
The room is much larger than the picture makes it look. Out of camera view is a walk-in closet and plenty of space for dressers and chairs. This is my daughter's room....
Her room is also very large with a walk-in closet as well. My son's room....
This one is not much larger than the picture shows, but it's plenty big for him. The door goes out onto a little balcony, but I don't see that getting much use. The master bathroom is enormous! Too large in fact. This is part of it....
A jacuzzi tub and heated towel rack in one corner. The opposite side holds the washing machine, double sinks and cabinets....
To the right of this is a stall shower and toilet, and also a clothes dryer. The floors are all heated which makes it nice on a cold morning. Onto the third floor....

This level only holds one large room. When our shipments arrive it will become my sewing room....
There's plenty of space and it will have a good deal of light because of the skylight....
During a portion of the year we will have about 20 hours of sunlight in a day, so I'll be able to have natural light to work by in the evenings; that will be nice. Of course on the flip-side of that, the sun doesn't come up now until 9 or 10 in the morning and it makes it really hard to get up each day! Some of you asked how I plan on decorating our home, but honestly I have no idea. I have NO skill for decorating. I can make the decorations, but I need someone else to give me the directions! I'm thinking that I will keep it simple as always. We move so much that I don't want to buy items that are specific to a certain space... I might not be able to use them again at the next house. If you have any ideas I'm all ears!

Wow Pam, I didn't even know you had left Israel. You're closer to me now, okay not closer but closer!!
Love the house, gorgeous!!
Great now I have to go to alter call on Sunday.;) Your home is BEAUTIFUL! I don't know that I would ever want to leave. I really like the way your kitchen, well whole house is. Glad to see you all are well. Love ya!!
I love your house! The kitchen and bath are especially nice, and you gotta love those huge bedrooms. I am definitely envious of your great big sewing room! My husband would love that for an office. Our summer days are not as long as yours, but we are farther north enough that we are still getting used to how long the days are (and of course the shorter winter days). I really love having daylight till 10 at night in the middle of the summer. Now, as for having daylight for 20 hours a day, that would take some getting used to!
You have been blessed with a beautiful home! Praise the Lord!
Pam,
I found your blog just before you left Jerusalem and am very glad to read your posts from Estonia. Thank you for sharing the pictures of your new home. I LOVE the dish rack cabinet above your sink! That is an awesome idea! I wish I had an extra cupboard above my sink to convert into that! Hope your stuff arrives soon and you get settled in.
Blessings,
Mrs. H
Hi I am visiting you from Spain. :) Well, actually from Portugal Bound. Do you have a church near by? What a gorgeous house. We hardly see that kind of house here in rich prosperous Spain. they are very costly too. What a blessing! I love it! The housing prob. isn´t as coastly in Estonia. Are you all on the Euro?
oh Pam I just love your home--it is beautiful---I had a dish drainer like that in Italy and boy I missed it when we moved back....looks like you have a ton of room that is for sure....wish I were there to help you decorate or *Hope*---we sure would have fun and fellowship...can't wait to hear what Estonian food is like.
ALSO---do you get a real Spring and Summer...oh this is going to be fun learning about another country...
Thanks for the great pictures.
Deby
Praise the Lord that you have a church close by and for God´s providing of this gorgeous home!! I toally understand. Enjoy it while you have it. do you have kidos? We have three boys that would just love to romp in all that room!! :) We are actually praying to buy a home someday in the near future here in Spain. Only the Lord knows if that will ever happen. I love the bathroom!! what space! Oh I was gonna mention that I have a missionary friend who does a great job with decorating. At least I just loved what she did. and she did it with just a bit of paint and accents. If you are interested I can put ya in contact. :)
The house is such a blessing.... although undeserved, I assure you. Thank you for all the compliments on it!
Deby, I would LOVE to have you all over to help decorate! That would be so much fun!!
Dani Joy, I do have two kids. They are very excited to be here and to have a YARD! I wouldn't mind "meeting" your missionary, decorating friend... I can use all the help I can get! LOL
Your house is beautiful, I love all the large rooms! I'm so glad your kids get to enjoy a yard!
Oh Pam what a wonderful beautiful home you have. I adore everything about your new place and God has so blessed you. And trust me you deserve every part of your new home. You are one amazing faithful Christian woman and mother and I am glad you have this new place. If I had the money I would so come to visit. Sorry to say i am no help on the decorating part, my home is so bare but i like it simple like that.
Love ya girly and I am so glad things are going so well and i cant wait to hear more about your time there.
Pam,
The house really does look wonderful, such a blessing for this next period in your lives. When we traveled and wanted to keep the decor simple, small and easy to carry to the next place, I made several 'wall' hangings, some were embroidered, some were fabric appliqued pictures, things that were meaningful to our family. I still have them, some I put our seasonally, some are just up on the walls of my sewing room, but so many memories in them all. You can make small lap quilts with the children, letting them pick the design, etc (even your son) then with their help finish and put them on the wall.
Let the children get some good painting paper, or even canvas, and let them paint pictures for the house.
Thank you for sharing more about the travel rest pillow. I am thinking about going ahead and ordering it, (the cost plus shipping is a lot), then I may make a fabric 'sling', copying the size and see if that will also work. Our trip is not until May, so I have time to play around with it. In this new place, have you found a nice fabric store?
Thanks for sharing so much of your home.
Debbie
Well so far I've seen all of the downstairs! The house looks really nice! I'll have to look at the upstairs later (gotta go for now). I'm sorry you don't care for the color of your kitchen... I LOVE IT!! :) Green is my favorite color! So you have my dream kitchen. ;) lol.
Jess
The house is beautiful! I love European homes..so many neat little extras (except the small fridg)... We had to purchase a freezer. Imagine me buying as I did in the states and getting home with no room for the stock up! Oh my...we ate good that day and the next!
Well..my favorite color is sage and I LOVE your kitchen! I'll add some "ideas" to your pkg that is in the makings. Just remember a "touch" of blue and white goes with everything! Plus, you'll think of me!
Third floor! Sewing room! Blessed indeed. I am thrilled for you and know that God has looked down upon all your needs and also the desire of your heart.
What great joy it brings to our hearts when we see the hand of GOD being so very personal in our desires....even the smallest matters. A fenced in yard!
Have fun...enjoy the blessings...
Can't wait to read more!
HUGS to you all...
HOPE
(I'll blog tomorrow)
What a beautiful home He has provided! It's been too long since I've been by and I had a lot of catching up to do.
What a blessing it was to read how the Lord perfectly picked your new home, providing friends and a church! Thank you for sharing that testimony.
I pray you all get settled in well and I look forward to visiting again.

PAM!!! I LOVE it...I am TICKLED to no end for you to be able to enjoy both the view outside AND inside. LOVE love love it!! (((Hug))) love and miss you terribly~Heather
Hey, it's me again! :) Back to the kitchen, I know exactly how you feel with the small fridge! lol. Thankfully, the missionaries that lived in our house before us left a bigger fridge - so we had two, one German size and one American size. I think the dish drainer above the sink is soo neat!! We didn't have that in Germany, but we would've liked it I'm sure!
I think your sewing room is really nice! I can't imagine having 20 hours of daylight!
I hope this comment isn't too long... I'll try to send an e-mail really soon!
Love,
Jess
A fireplace! How NICE!!!
I LOVE the big windows in the bedrooms!! I miss those kind of windows! Do you have rouladens?
That sure was a big bathroom! A heated towel rack - GREAT! :)
Ummm..... I don't know how my comment got mixed up.. sorry about that... everything under my name was supposed to go before that about your sewing room... sighs...
Jess
Pam, it's beautiful! I love it!! It looks so big. I'm glad you have two little helpers to help you keep it clean. And yay for the back yard! What a blessing for the kids. There is a really neat and easy decorating project that you can do with scrapbook paper. I will send you the link via email in the next few days. Take care and have a great weekend.
What a beautiful home! I'm very happy your back.
What a blessing your home will be and am so happy you have friends close by as well. Still wishing you could have come here tho! :)
Dear Pam, I came by for a visit a few time but could not sit at the computer long enough to make a comment. I love your new home. It is so pretty. I am very happy for you. Hope you have had a very happy day and your week will be full of good times.
I have missed not being able to come visit but now that I am much better, I will be by often. connie
Sis. Pam,
Your new home looks huge. At least compared to British sizes, although the washers/dryers are still the same. LOL
Enjoy!
Until the shout,
Sis. Tammy
