I have a very good reason to be sewing these days. There have been several people recently, I believe 7 or 8, who have decided to follow the Lord in believer's baptism. This called for the need to have baptismal robes. Penny and I got together and figured out a design for a simple robe and gathered all of the needed supplies. Today 3 ladies joined me at my home to have a day of sewing! A large job like this is so much nicer with many hands working together. And better yet when there is so much talent in those hands. Marita, a Russian lady, is a professional seamstress! I had Penny snap a shot of us in our little factory on the third floor. I'm on the left, Marita at the ironing board, and Penny's daughter Holly on the right....
We worked for about 6 hours today and got almost finished with all 7 robes. They'll be coming back over tomorrow to put in zippers and finish hems. Oh, and did I mention that one of those people getting baptized this weekend is my daughter?! She's been saved for over 4 years but has been afraid of the water. She's been praying for God to help her have the courage to obey Him, and she's finally ready to trust Him. Praise the LORD! I'll get some good pictures to share!

You've been busy! I know you're thrilled with your daughter's growing faith. It's precious to see our children learn to trust the Lord with even things like being afraid of the water! :)
What a neat project....and I am sure it was a time of great fellowship.....and now the baptisms...WONDERFUL...

Tell YOUR DAUGHTER that we are so happy for her. Caleb is also looking forward to being baptised at the next available opportunity.
