100th Post!!

Wow, I can't believe I've reached number 100 already. I've seen from some of you other bloggers, that the 100th post is sometimes used to list 100 things about yourself. I'll try....here we go:

1. I have lived in many different places, such as: Colorado
2. Texas (my favorite)
3. Missouri
4. California
5. South Carolina
6. Okinawa, Japan (twice)
7. Jerusalem, Israel
8. My mother is a citizen of England, living in the U.S. on a green card.
9. I have 3 half-sisters (all living in England) and one full brother (who lives in Africa)
10. I have held down many different jobs such as: Manager at a McDonald's
11. Medical Transcriptionist for a Chiropractor (I love to type!)
12. Chicken Factory ---- YUCK!
13. Manager at a Blockbuster Video (The Lord told me to quit that one...I'm glad I listened)
14. JC Penney
15. I have worn glasses since I was 8 years old (I'm practically blind)
16. I owned a 1980 Camaro when I was 17...while I was at school my dad traded it for this.
17. My favorite hobbies are: Apparel sewing
18. Cross-Stitching
19. Quilting
20. Calligraphy (not very good at that one yet)
21. Piano (not good at that one either!)
22. I first taught myself how to play the piano by one of those cheap little books that have the keyboard built into it. They're labeled with letters, and the pages have simple songs that correspond with the letters on the keys.
23. My dad never could manage to get me piano lessons, but he did buy me an old piano at a garage sale down the street from our house. It was an upright that someone had painted GREEN, and I remember that not all of the keys worked. My dad pushed it all the way to our house for me!
24. Before I had children, I wore a size 10 shoe. After, I wore an 11. After I lost weight, it went back to a 10. It's always hard to find shoes.
25. My eyes are blue
26. I always claim that my hair is blond. It was blond when I was little, and I just can't think of myself any other way. I honestly forget that now it is a light brown; until I look in the mirror. (with that nice streak of gray right in front)
27. I hate to give my kids a bath! I do it, of course, but I never have enjoyed it.
28. My hands cannot sweat; and my body only sweats a very tiny amount -- anhidrosis
29. Because of my dry hands, I am constantly suffering from cracks. I bent my fingers yesterday and they cracked in two places....OUCH!
30. I've always thought that my name was plain. Pam was a name from my Kindergarten reader, and my middle name is Jane. Plain Jane....what else can I say?
31. I don't mind doing the laundry, but I hate to mop the floor. (anyone want to swap housework duties?)
32. I don't do well with real flowers. I think they're pretty, and they smell nice; but I always manage to kill them. My husband has learned not to waste the money.
33. My friend Heather and I used to live across the street from each other for over a year..... and we never knew it! We didn't meet until about 6 years later in Okinawa!
34. I've been married for almost 11 years.
35. We didn't have a honeymoon. I'm still waiting for that one.
36. 3 weeks after we married, my husband left for a 14 month deployment!
37. After the first 5 months, my mom gave me First Class round-trip tickets to Japan to be with him for the next 7 months! What a blessing!
38. For the first year of our marriage we had to endure a twin-size water bed...the cheap kind; none of this motionless technology. It's a good thing we were newlyweds and didn't mind being that close!
39. I can drive a stick shift; and I actually enjoy it.
40. I know how to eat with chopsticks properly.
41. We own a brand new van that we have been able to drive for 18 months; but it is now almost 6 years old. Sound like a riddle? It's been in storage ever since we moved overseas.
42. I love the Fall....cool and beautiful.
43. I have great organizational skills.
44. My husband thinks I whistle funny.
45. He also says that I giggle when I'm nervous....trying to work on that one.
46. I'm terrified of snakes.
47. I'm great at word and math games.
48. My right eyebrow has a scar where no hair will grow.
49. I have a hard time understanding people with accents....not a good thing since my mother has one; and so do all the people I've been living around for the past 4 years.
50. I cannot stay awake in the car. My husband has no help from me on long driving trips!
51. I have a high tolerance for pain.
52. I'm not a big fan of animals.
53. I love stationary stores.....all that paper, those pens & pencils; just love it.
54. For the first few months of my son's life, I just couldn't get used to his name...I called him "baby boy" for the longest time.
55. Just thinking about brushing teeth makes my skin crawl. Yes, I do brush my teeth anyway... it's only the thought that bothers me.
56. I can't get a suntan... just burn and peel.
57. I hate wearing socks; even in winter.
58. I love paisley print.
59. I homeschool my two children.
60. I love classical music.
61. I've always wanted to learn how to play the harp.
62. I love to read.
63. I spent most of my summers as a kid on my grandparents farm.
64. I was once run over by a sheep!

66. My grandpa would also pay me a quarter for picking up a whole bucket full of rocks from around the barn.
67. I am one of those crazy people that loves algebra.
68. I used to be extremely shy and introverted.
69. I finally got tired of being left out of things; so I started pulling myself out of my shell.
70. Now you can't keep my quiet!

72. I hate hearing my own voice on recordings.
73. I have a small collection of pill and trinket boxes.
74. I have more fabric in my stash than I know what to do with....but I still have trouble finding a piece I can use---go figure!
75. I have not driven a car in over 8 months!!
76. I have not been by myself in 8 months either.
77. It's a good thing God gave mothers an unexplainable love for their children!
78. I love gadgets. (Work smarter, not harder---right Laura?)
79. I was once publicly awarded a stapler as a gift -- no one else understood, but I thought it was GREAT (see number 53)
80. I am NOT a pack-rat
81. I once lived in an apartment that was 12' X 12' ...everything crammed in there together.
82. I hate driving in the snow.
83. I spent most of my childhood in a bowling alley
84. I once bowled a 224, but never got as good as my brother, who bowled more 300's than anyone could count!
85. After I got saved, I burned my large collection of romance novels in a big bonfire.

I had some comments to specific ones, but your list continued to be so interesting that it became hard to keep up with.

I feel like I know you a little better now. And, hey, if you ever make it back to your *favorite* stomping grounds (TX) you've got an embedded friend...

;) That's my attempt at some military humor. lol.

I also LOVE paisley, didn't know how to cook when I got married, don't like driving in snow and those super close to me (like you:) know I'm not a fan of animals.

Awww, I miss you so much!
